Module Guide

INTRODUCTION TO MODULE

    I am required to produce ONLY ONE of the following:

  • Music Video
  • Title Sequence
  • Ecommerce video
  • Promotional trailer

  • ESTING trio (BUMPER AD)

    When making the decision for my chosen outcome, I must CONSIDER MY AUDIENCE. The options that I have available are far and varied, allowing full creative exploration and freedom of expression.

The work that I produce individually or collaboratively within a cohort or with students from other departments MUST be presented at the end of semester TWO in either an online screening or public screening on campus. It MUST be presented professionally; this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase to other departments, potential employers, and the wider creative community what has been achieved via a collaborative team effort. It is also an opportunity to better prepare myself for my final year exhibition which WILL be presented in a public viewing.

    Marks for this module will be divided as shown:

Development/ Research    30%

Music video or ecommerce video, title-sequence or trailer    70%

The Brief

PRODUCTION BRIEF What must it be? A Music/Lyric video. Who is it for? Fans of the musical artist. How long must it be? As long as the song and at least one minute. What is my objective? To accurately visualise the audio, tell the story of the song, and provide entertainment.  When is it due? By the end of May, 2023.     After answering the brief questions provided in class, I then created a Big Idea Mind Map where I explored all my thoughts and inspirations for my chosen creative production, a music video.      The next steps I need to take are:  Following the "Yes, and..." Rule Coming up with my Elevator Pitch, Six-word Story, and Tagline Pre-visualising the Look & Feel of the video.
